Job Description

About the Role:
My client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead multiple luxury lodges. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, focusing on guest satisfaction, staff engagement, and owner relations. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the luxury hospitality market. Based at my client’s Head Office, the successful candidate will ensure operational excellence, financial performance, and brand standards across all properties.

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Develop and communicate strategic business plans aligned with company objectives, including marketing, sales, and budgets. 
•    Lead and inspire lodge teams, ensuring clear understanding of goals and fostering a guest-first culture. 
•    Monitor operational performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded, with accurate reporting and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. 
•    Partner with finance to prepare budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability through innovative revenue strategies. 
•    Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, translating company goals into actionable departmental objectives. 
•    Drive guest satisfaction by analyzing feedback and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. 
•    Manage and develop staff, setting performance expectations, coaching, and fostering high employee morale. 
•    Build strong relationships with clients and partners, identifying new business opportunities and operational efficiencies. 
•    Implement standards, procedures, and brand guidelines to ensure consistency and excellence across all properties.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile: 
•    Matric / Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Tourism (NQF level 6). 
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar senior operational role within luxury camps and lodges. 
•    Proven track record of managing multiple properties, with strong financial acumen and strategic thinking skills. 
•    Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
